模型製作：Bandai 1/144 Hyakuren - 百錬アミダ機

バンダイ HG百錬アミダ機。百錬の名前は百錬成鋼から取ったものでしょうから、発音はヒャクレンでなく中国風にバイリェンでしょうか？ともかく、集中力が途切れないペースで作り切りました。

Hyakuren Amida's custom from "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-blooded Oprhans". Bandai HG Series 1:144 kit. The name "Hyakuren" (百錬) seems coming from Chinese words 百炼成钢. So, the name may be pronounced as "Bailian".

すばらしいデザインで、店頭で思わず手に取りました。

This is a beautifully designed mobile suit. I enjoyed building it.

もうひとつ、店頭で見た鉄道模型用マルーンの塗料を使ってみたくなって、挑戦。

There was another reason I build it. I wanted to use these maroon and pink paints. They are special colors for Japanese Train models.

スピード優先。とにかくランナーから切り離して、いきなり色を吹きます。マルーンも赤14号も結果的にビビッドすぎたので、どちらもクールホワイトで色味を落ちつけました。

I wanted finish the building before I get bored. Speed is important. I just cut of parts and air-blushed colors. No complicated modifications.

一緒に台座もつくります。100円ショップの小さな木皿の裏を利用。

Diorama base. I used small saucer I bought it in one-coin shop.

完全無改造どころか、合わせ目消しもしてません（だから顔の真ん中に縦線が）。塗装は、下地に塗ったダークグレイのサーフェイサーをエッジに残すよう心がけました。

完成。やっぱりベースがあると、スケール感がでていいです。単なるアニメのキャラクターが、こんな出来でも巨大な機械に見える。

Complete. Diorama base is very effective to make a character looks actual machine.

とはいえさすがに完全素組だと細部があまりに鈍い印象なので、以前こちらで購入したときにおまけでもらったハトメや、ハイキューパーツの金属プレートで気持ちだけデコレーション。

I decorated details with metal materials.

デカールも飽きない程度にちょこちょこと。ウェザリングも少しかけようとしたんだけど、中途半端にシミが残ってしまって中止。アイセンサーはメタルシール。

なんとも言えないのですが、がっちりしているようで、とても曲線が豊かで女性的に見える。良いデザインです。

It is massive, but somehow feminine design with beautiful contours.

やらない日も含めて、2週間程度で完成まで持っていけました。このくらいのペースで完成の充足感が得られるとちょうどいい。

It was 2 weeks of work and gave me a satisfaction.

実は原作の『ガンダム鉄血のオルフェンズ』はほとんど観ていません。富野監督の演出が本当に好きで、彼の作品かその設定に準じるシリーズはよく見るのですが、他のアニメシリーズとなるとどうしても食指が動かず。ただ、このモビルスーツのデザインはグっと来るものがあって、純粋に模型として楽しめました。

I love the creator Yoshiyuki Tomino’s Gundam series but not other director’s. So, I haven’t seen the “Orhapns”, But the design of Hyakuren is definitely attractive. This was my first experience building MS model without watching it on TV.
