今年の紅葉は御岳山・大岳山に行ってきた。 ロックガーデン（岩石園）の紅葉は美しいと聞いて。
It is autumn. This year, I went Mitake-san & Otake(Odake)-san to see beautiful "Rock Garden". These mountains are placed in the far east of Tokyo region.
御岳山頂エリアまではケーブルカーを使う。残念ながら神社は改築中で見られなかった。立派な狛犬は見られたけれど。
We can use Cable-car to the top of the Mt. Mitake. The famous shrine of mitake has pare of long-lived wolf statue.
神社の回りは門前町があり、紅葉とあいまって風情ある雰囲気。ここからロックガーデンを挟んで、大岳山に向かって歩く。まずは沢に向かってどんどん下る。不安になるほど下る。
There are a old township around the shrine. Autumn leaves are beautifuly dressing the town. From here, We start tramping. Go down to the valley where the rock garden is located.
退屈な杉林を抜けると、広葉樹の森が始まり、豊かな森の匂いがただよってくる。巨大な天狗岩を超えると、ロックガーデンまであと半分。

しばらく歩くと、渓谷を流れる水の音が聞こえてくる。ロックガーデンが始まる。
Witth the sound of water stream, we enter the Rock Garden.
岩には立派な苔がむしている。
Mossed rocks. Fascinating.

巨大な岩の向こうに色づいた木々。

ロックガーデンの一番奥には、この綾広の滝が流れている。それほど大きくない滝だけれど、堂々としている。ここまで楽しんだら、あとは御岳山に引き返すか、大岳山に登るか、どっちにしろ登りのコース。
Ayahiro fall in the end of the guarden. From here, we choose we go back to Mitake or go up to Otake.
今回は大岳山コースを選んだが、下った分をまた登り、さらに400mぐらい上るのでたいへんしんどかった。まぬけなことに足がつってしまい、無理せず山頂直前の旧山荘までにした。山荘から山頂は急だけど距離的にはすぐ。
Otake is relatively hard cource than Mitake. Just before the mountaintop, there is a old rodge. It used be a popular lodge for climbers travel around Oku-tama mountains.
下山はほとんど誰も使わない杉林のコースを降りて、三都郷の白倉というバス停からバスでJR五日市線の武蔵五日市へ。1時間半に1本のバスなので、最後は走った！ 足つったのに！
From the top of Otake, there are several long routes to down the mountain. In some route, we have to use bus to get nearest stain station. Bus survice are sparce so be careful about time!
