6月のはじめ。小石川後楽園を訪れた。
Koishikawa-Kōrakuen. A Japanese garden on the center of Tokyo metropolitan area.
すでに梅雨が始まっていたけれど、今年は雨量が少ない。晴れた。
It was June I visited there. It was a rare sunny day in the rainy season.
都心。森の向こうに野球場のエアドームが見える。ダイナミックな光景だ。
Beyond a beautiful greens, we see air-dome of baseball stadium. Some say it disrupting the view, I say it is a dynamic view of Tokyo.
ちょうど花菖蒲の季節。菖蒲田はまさに見頃。
June is the season of Iris.
いくつか品種があるのだろうが、明記されたものはない。
They are Hana-shōbu. Kinds of cultivated Iris in Japan.
管理するひとたちも、こんな風情ある恰好。
Shōbu farmers.
梅雨も晴れれば夏の空なので、花も陽光に輝く。
Beautiful purples
栽培田はそれほど大きくないが、むしろちょうど良い密度で見応えがあった。
The shōbu farm is tidy, well cultivated. Good to see.
隣の稲田にはカルガモ。
Next to the shōbus, there is rice farm. Ducks swim there.
菖蒲以外も楽しい公園なので、次回へ続く。
