タミヤのマチルダ Mk.III / IV です。1/48スケール
1:48 British Infantry tank Mk.IIA Matilda III /IV from Tamiya.
無改造ですが、塗装はオーストラリア軍仕様を模してみました。好きなんです。オーストラリア軍。
No modifications to the kit. Australian army color.
初期塗装。グラデーションかけようとはしているんだけど、勇気が無くてはっきり出せず。
Painting.
サイドスカートに特徴的な横の2本線を入れて、ウォッシングまでしたあと。
Washing.
そして泥まみれに。ニューギニアの泥道をイメージして。まだどの程度汚せばいいのか、感覚がつかめません。
And weathering like New Guinean rain forest.
履帯が巻き上げた泥がスカートの穴からむりむり出てくるみたいなので、そこを意識して。
Put light-colord dry mud on the upper side. Put dark-colord wet mud on the lower side.
正面や背面の泥はなかなか雰囲気が出たと思いますが、スカートの泥はどうも納得できず。
I think I did weathering well on the front and the rear of the chassis. For the mud on side skirts, I need more practice.
とはいえ、いちばん作ってみたかったマチルダの模型だけに、ここまでできて楽しかったです。
Nevertheless, I really enjoyed putting such thick mud.
